CGI announced as new headline sponsor of University of Nottingham’s Men’s BUCS Super Rugby team
The University of Nottingham is thrilled to announce CGI, one of the world’s largest independent technology and business consulting services firms, as the new headline sponsor of its Men’s BUCS Super Rugby team.

This new sponsorship builds on CGI’s relationship as the University’s Digital Partner. It will provide dedicated support for the Men’s Rugby Union Programme, including collaborative opportunities for students to engage with CGI through events, mentoring, and career development initiatives, further strengthening the bridge between sport, education, and industry.
The University’s Men’s BUCS Super Rugby team continues to grow in stature and performance. The team, led by high-performance coach Paul Westgate, competes at the top tier of university rugby union. The 2024/25 season saw them finish 7th, marking their highest ever league finish. Several players have gone on to sign professional contracts with leading clubs including Leicester Tigers, Edinburgh Rugby, and The Ospreys. With CGI’s support, the team are aiming to push further up the league and continue developing and attracting elite talent.
