Trying to have a Green Christmas?

We all like a good celebration and a chance to relax over Christmas. Unfortunately this often results in eating and drinking more, not to mention the present-buying. All this tends to lead to lots of rubbish. In Britain we generate approx. 1 billion Christmas cards, 83 square kilometres of wrapping paper, 750 million extra glass bottles and containers, and 500 million extra drinks cans over the festive period. However, this doesn't have to be the case...

The Sustainability Team have created “The 12 Green Tips of Christmas” to help you to reduce the environmental impact that the festive period can have. These hints and tips can be used both at work or study and at home.

Look out for new hints and tips everyday - they'll be posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
