The Graduate School supports all postgraduates and research staff at The University of Nottingham. We provide training and development opportunities including paid placements, workshops, public engagement events and small-scale funding to support researcher development opportunities.
Five graduate centres are provided for the exclusive use of postgraduate students and early career research staff. They offer social and study areas, wifi, networked computers, seminar rooms and access to kitchen facilities.
The Graduate School's Researcher Development Programme offers a broad range of research training courses, free for all registered research students, which help develop vital transferable skills. To register and find out more information about these courses, and opportunities from other providers, visit Central Short Courses.
As well as the Graduate School, you have access to Graduate Centres across the University:
The Graduate School provides a programme of social and academic events. These range from information about funding to coffee and cake social networking events. To learn more, please visit the Graduate School's event programme.
Although sourcing funding for postgraduate study can be a complicated matter, the Graduate School provides information about a number of funding opportunities available and also offers some financial support of its own.

The Students’ Union hosts a vast range of societies, sports, student services, community projects and campaigns.
They also have a full time Postgraduate Officer who represents students at central University Committees by using feedback provided by postgraduate representatives on each program.
