Become a Guiding Light

  • Any gift of any size can make a difference, guiding future generations of students, our vital research or the future of the university.
  • A gift in your Will to the University of Nottingham can guide and change many lives.
  • As a Guiding Light, you will play a vital role in our long-term plans. Whether it’s helping to protect special places on our campus that you know and remember with fondness, or ensuring that we continue to provide future generations of students with what they need to thrive in an ever more competitive world.

As a university we are far more than a set of buildings. We are everyone who has ever walked our corridors, studied in our lecture halls, or sat by the lake and put the world to rights.

Guide future generations...

Over many decades, gifts in Wills have enabled students from low-income backgrounds to study at the University of Nottingham. They have been especially critical during the Covid-19 pandemic, providing vital funding for students who might otherwise have had to give up on their dreams.

As a Guiding Light, you could help fund scholarships or give financial hardship assistance to students in urgent need. You could give bright and determined students the opportunity of a University education, enable them to flourish and succeed, and change their lives forever.

"My hopes of what university would be, the experiences I would have and the people I would meet, are now a reality thanks to the generosity of others. This support enables me to fully focus on my studies and gave me the confidence and motivation to engage with all aspects of university life."

Georgie, Law student
