Introducing Religion and Worldviews

The aim of Introducing Religion and Worldviews project is to give free resources to support those teaching Religious Education in primary and secondary schools.

They have been co-created with teachers and the following academics:

The packs have been designed to be delivered in schools by teachers, for teachers. The resources introduce trainers and their colleagues to the ‘Religion and Worldviews’ approach, focusing on what that might look like in the religious education classroom at primary and secondary levels, and build on a series of videos previously produced. While the resources can be downloaded for free, we ask teachers not to forward PDFs and PowerPoints but to instead direct colleagues to this webpage as resources may be subject to future updates.

If you use these resources, please leave comments and feedback. Your feedback is really important to help us evaluate this project and develop improved resources in the future.

How to use the packs

Each pack includes detailed instructions for the trainer – who might be the subject lead/Head, and who has been tasked to support colleagues as they seek to adopt a Religion and Worldviews approach in their school/multi-academy trust.

The packs include a series of PowerPoints that can be used when delivering the training. The trainer’s slides include detailed notes, to assist them as they prepare to deliver the training. The packs also include material to disseminate to teachers during the training, including PowerPoints slides with no notes, a teacher handout, and a summary infographic with useful links.
