Work Placement with the Language Centre

At the Language Centre, our ethos is to create an inspiring and supportive environment where students can actively build confidence, and explore their intercultural interests. By engaging in real tasks and meaningful experiences, students can enhance or acquire valuable transferable skills that strengthen their career prospects and help them stand out in an increasingly competitive world.

In 2023, we launched our Work Placement Programme to bring this vision to life. The programme offers a range of roles that allow students to apply their strengths, gain practical experience, and work collaboratively with our team. Positions are open to students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts credited Work Placement module, to Faculty of Arts students seeking voluntary placement opportunities, and to current Language Centre learners. Through these placements, students not only gain hands-on experience but also contribute directly to the vibrant, multicultural community at the LC.
