Simon Gosling

Professor of Climate Risks & Environmental Modelling, School of Geography

Email: simon.gosling@nottingham.ac.uk

Bio: Professor Simon Gosling's research uses numerical models to predict future situations. For example, comparing a world with net zero emissions to a world with high emissions to see how different things like water scarcity, flooding, or health, affect the two scenarios. His work demonstrates the advantages of net zero when compared to other greenhouse gas emissions scenarios.

Simon has done a lot of work on knowledge integration over the past decade, and was the Knowledge Integrator for a large European commission funded project that provided evidence to support the EU's Net Zero policy. He works with policy makers and other external stakeholders to summarise large studies and explain their significance.
