The Department of Health strongly recommends that all students register with a Doctor whilst studying at the University. Students can choose which NHS General Practice they wish to register with.
The University of Nottingham Health Centre is an NHS General Practice situated on the main campus, University Park. The practice offers a full range of general medical services, including contraception, cervical smear screening, travel vaccinations, minor surgery, child health surveillance and maternity services. For those living within the catchment area, registration times are available in the first week of term. Please visit the Health Centre pages for further details:
Students living outside the catchment area or those who prefer to register elsewhere should visit the to find an alternative medical practice. Alternatively, ring or email Nottingham City Primary Care Trust’s Patient Advise and Liaison Service on 0115 9123320 pals@nottinghamcity-pct.nhs.uk for assistance.
Our department of Student Services have put together a great deal of information for students to help educate and assist students with many health related issues during their studies. This information is contained in the health section of Student Services web pages.
