Online registration for returning students
As a returning student you must register with the University at the beginning of each academic year. You are required to complete online registration only.
You do not need to register if you are going into 'thesis pending' or have an extension to your postgraduate taught dissertation. However, full-time students who are going into 'thesis pending' have the option to register if they wish. For further details, see research student information or contact your Student Service Centre.
When to register
Most returning students will be invited to register in mid-August. An email will be sent to your University email account to let you know when online registration has opened for you.
- You must complete your online registration by 11 October 2021 and start attending in-person for those on taught courses by 18 October 2021. If you arrive or complete quarantine after this date, you must request permission for remote study, access the Remote study webpage here by 6 October 2021.
- Use NottinghamHub to register online, using your existing University username and password – forgotten your details? You can reset your password online or contact the IT service desk for your username or help with any other access problems
- If you have an outstanding debt with the University, you will not be able to complete your online registration – any debt must be cleared before you can re-register
- If you have a re-assessment during the August 2021 re-assessment period, you will not be able to register until after results are released and your progression to the next academic year has been confirmed
