Nursing Courses

As one of the largest nursing schools in the UK, we offer innovative courses informed by powerful research and delivered by high-quality teachers in an inspiring environment.

We are an early adopter of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Standards, introducing a new curriculum in September 2018. 

BSc Nursing at a glance:

  • First year 37 weeks (no teaching or placements during the summer holiday)
  • Opportunities for an elective placement and ERASMUS funded European placement
  • Some placement choices and a placement exchange scheme
  • Third year optional modules
  • You will be ‘prescriber ready’ upon course completion
  • Study extra qualifications, i.e. the Dementia Certificate

From August 2017 applications for GEN have moved to the postgraduate route.

We also offer courses for continuing professional development for registered nurses, as well as postgraduate study related to nursing.
