International and EU students

You'll find a warm welcome in our community, campuses and city, studying alongside other international and EU students from more than 150 countries around the world.

Get ready to travel

Plan your travel arrangements carefully for a smooth journey, including your visa, packing and transport connections. All students travelling to England from overseas, including UK nationals, must self-isolate (quarantine) for 10 full days.

Welcome and induction activities

The University will run a free welcome programme for EU and international students joining us in January.

This is a great way to meet other students and access guidance on completing practical tasks such as opening a UK bank account. You’ll also be able to take part in online sessions on health, wellbeing, sport and more.

Get ready for student life

There are some practicalities to complete when you arrive, such as opening a bank account and registering with a doctors' surgery. It's also a good idea to read up on what to expect when you will live and study in the UK.
