Institute for Policy and Engagement

The University of Nottingham supports families in a mulitude of ways; through our research, our public engagement activities and our policy work. The Families workstream aims to support researchers with an interest in engaging families and who's research has policy implications for the family. By creating this workstream the Institute aims to highlight some of the excellent work that takes place in this area across our five faculties, involve families of all types in shaping our practice and actively listen in order to understand the challenges and issues faced by family groups in contemporary society.

The Institute for Policy and Engagement works with researchers from across our three campuses to produce resources to inform the actions of decision makers on familly issues. We support meaningful engagement activities on important issues that take place locally, nationally and internationally. Here we are able to share some of those materials represented through blogs, short films, case studies, listening post tracks and practical activities.
