When to arrive

If you are travelling from outside of the UK to join us for the 2021/22 academic year, please make sure you check the government’s latest policy on testing and quarantining.



University halls of residence

Our Accommodation Services Team will be in touch with you closer to your moving in date with information on your arrival, instructions for completing your online induction and how to book an arrivals slot. 

Moving into catered accommodation

Self-catered and third party accommodation

If you will be living in self-catered accommodation, all the information you need on what to bring and what to do when you arrive is specific to your site. If your accommodation is managed by a third party provider, you will receive full details about arrival and check-in processes by email prior to the start date of your tenancy.

University Park Campus

Use either the north or west entrance to access University Park Campus.

Jubilee Campus

Use either the main or south entrance to access Jubilee Campus.

Sutton Bonington Campus

Use either the main entrance or College Road/Landcroft Lane to access Sutton Bonington Campus.

Getting around Nottingham

There are many different ways to travel around Nottingham city centre - whether it's on two feet, two wheels, or by public transport. Nottingham’s public buses and tram line provide direct links to our campuses from a variety of points around the city. 

Getting between campuses

We are one of the few universities to offer a free inter-campus bus service. Our hopper buses make getting between campuses quick and easy.

Make sure you bring your accommodation details and University documents in your hand luggage, as immigration officers may ask to see them when you arrive in the UK.

What to expect when you arrive

Travelling to Nottingham

If you are arriving from a red or amber country you must go straight to the place you’re staying to quarantine. Only use public transport if you have no other option.

We will be running a coach transfer service from Heathrow airport to Nottingham this year. More information and dates can be found using the button below.
