By sharing your career insights and industry top tips, you'll help to get students thinking more about which career pathway they could take with a Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree.

Family Link Host

Are you the host with the most? We are looking for Nottingham locals to help welcome our international students by taking part in a unique cultural exchange. The Family Link programme pairs students with local people, to give them a warm welcome to their new community. Share your love for Nottingham with our students - from trips to the museum, a walk in the Peak District, or inviting your student over for Sunday dinner - the Family Link programme is a rewarding experience for all.
 

Alumni to alumni mentor

Mentoring is a fantastic way to share your industry expertise and professional experiences, to inspire a fellow alumni, and help them to become the person they want to be. As a mentor, you can connect with a University of Nottingham graduate and help them to consider their professional future in more depth by acting as a guide. Whether your mentee is starting out in their professional life, considering a career change, looking to move up in their chosen field, or is curious about other industries, your support and advice is invaluable and will really give your mentee the extra confidence they need when it comes to making important career decisions.
 

From the Bench to the Bank

We are looking for enthusiastic alumni to volunteer to be a 'From the Bench to the Bank' speaker. As a speaker you will help students gain an appreciation of the key challenges facing the chemical industry and the role of entrepreneurship in addressing those challenges.
 

Salters Festival Judge

We are looking for judges to score morning and afternoon chemistry practical challenges at the Salters Festival of Chemistry. If you're an engaging, enthusiastic individual who can communicate well with children/young adults and has a knowledge of chemistry at least up to GCSE level – this opportunity could be for you!
 

Work shadowing Host

Could you offer one of our bright and talented students a work shadowing opportunity? Taking just a few days, you can really inspire a student and help them learn more about what it's like working in your profession.
 

The Access Project Tutor

Ref: The Access Project Tutor
Start date: Various/ongoing
Location: Nottingham, or online
Could you help a GCSE or A-Level student? We are looking for alumni to provide tutoring for 1 hour each week on the subject they studied or a subject linked to what they studied. This could be virtually or locally, depending on your location. This can really help students increase their grade in that subject by 1 grade. Please note this opportunity is through The Access Project who will be sharing information back with the University of Nottingham. You will be required to attend a compulsory training session in Birmingham, Nottingham, or London prior to starting this opportunity.

eMentor

Could you inspire our current students and help to shape their future career? Are you interested in giving your time online from anywhere in the world? Could you be an eMentor? Our eMentoring programme is flexible and can fit around you. You can choose whether you want to answer a quick question that a student might have, or take part in a more structured mentoring relationship for 4, 12 or 24 weeks.

Our International Office are looking for alumni living abroad to help and assistance with recruiting our new students. This role asks you to speak about your experiences, answering questions from potential students and their parents about The University of Nottingham.
 

Venue and Hospitality Facilitator

Buddy

Are you living internationally? Could you help as an international buddy? You will be an important point of contact for visiting study abroad students in your home town. You will share your local knowledge, serving as a friendly face, offering to meet your contact for a coffee, chat or tour of the city if appropriate. Buddies are essential in supporting our international student community- we'd love to hear from you!
 

International Alumni Speaker

Are you interested in arranging informal get-togethers for alumni in your country/region?
