Welcome to our website.  As you explore these pages we hope you will learn more about our philosophy as well as the details of specific programmes and our research and teaching. 

We welcome students and researchers from all parts of the world, and have over twenty years' experience in the field of English for Academic Purposes, Academic Literacy, and English for Professional Purposes. 

We support internationalisation strategy at the University of Nottingham with teams of Lecturers and Tutors based in the three international campuses: UK, China and Malaysia.  We work closely with all Schools, Faculties and Central Services of the University.  We provide teaching that is underpinned by the highest professional standards and informed by current research.

We put the student/teacher relationship at the heart of all we do.  We hope to provide contexts in which staff and students can collaborate in the process of posing and answering creatively key questions about language education. 

We aim to integrate teaching and research in the service of academic and professional communities.  Our desire is to help our students achieve the highest possible standards of English and inter-cultural communication – both during their degrees and in their future professions.
