Request a quality check

Before a draft website can be published live, sites must go through the Web Team quality check process. Once you have finished editing your site, please read the guidance and submit your site using the form. 

Before submitting your request

Please ensure you have: 

After you have completed the form

We will: 

  • send you a confirmation of your request within two working days
  • complete the quality check within ten working days, depending on the size of the site
  • send you a report detailing the outcome 

 

 

Outcomes of the quality check

Pass

The site has passed the quality check and will be scheduled for go live. 

If you have provided a gmail address, we will also provide you with access to Google Analytics. 

 

Pass (minor errors)

The site has passed with some non-critical issues.

You will be sent a list of these issues to fix as soon as possible but the site will be scheduled to go live in the meantime.

The Web Team will schedule a follow up check for three months after the launch date

 

Fail (critical errors)

The site has failed the quality check and won't be able to be published in its current form. 

You will be sent a list of the errors that will need fixing as soon as possible. Please contact your Web Coordinator for assistance, if required. 

Once these errors have been fixed, please resubmit the site.

    Please provide details of how the site will continue to be maintained post-launch including nominated CMS users.
  • Google Analytics

    University of Nottingham-branded websites are automatically tracked in the central Google Analytics account. For access to this, please include your gmail address below.

    Non-UoN branded sites are responsible for setting up their own Google Analytics accounts. If you set up an account and generate a tracking ID the Web Team can add it to your site for you.
