The Centre has received national recognition winning the top award for employability*. So whether you’re in your first, penultimate or final year, or you are a postgraduate student, find out how the Centre can help you achieve your career ambitions.
Use the Centre’s website and careers library to research your career ideas - all the information you need in one place.
From the Centre, pick up your free copy of graduate directories such as The Times Top 100 Graduate Recruiters.
You can talk to a careers adviser about your plans for specialist advice and guidance. Appointments are available every weekday.
Use the Centre’s online vacancy service for the latest graduate jobs, work experience placements and part-time vacancies. The Centre has excellent relationships with the top graduate recruiters so don’t miss out on opportunities targeted at you.
The Centre can help you with your job and course applications. Use the Centre’s leaflets and then speak to an adviser to fine-tune that application.
The Centre organises careers events and recruitment fairs throughout the year. Use these events to find out about opportunities and network with employers.
These events in the autumn and spring term are very popular so book your place online to avoid disappointment. Over the year, the Centre’s recruitment fairs attract hundreds of top employers so there are plenty of opportunities waiting for you.
Now in its second year, the Nottingham Advantage Award will boost your chances in the graduate employment market. There are many modules you can choose from so if you’re a first or second year student, you’ll find something that interests you.
During the events programme careers advisers and employers offer numerous workshops to develop your skills such as negotiation skills, effective interview skills and project management to name a few.
I just want to say thanks to everyone in the Centre for Career Development for your help – it’s a brilliant service and I’ve recommended it to other students looking for jobs after university.
