Register for graduation
Registration for graduation is now open.
If you have a Portal account, please register via the Graduation Registration Portal.
If you are due to graduate from the School of Health Sciences and do not have a Portal account, please register via the Online Form.
Please contact the Graduation Team if you have any queries.
In exceptional circumstances, you may be permitted to defer your graduation until a later date. You will not receive your certificate until you have officially had your award conferred.
If you wish to request a deferral, you must email Graduation explaining the reasons for your request, attaching any supporting documentation, and confirming that you understand that in requesting a deferral this means you will not receive your graduation documents until you have had your award conferred at a graduation ceremony.
Any requests for deferrals must be received by the deadline of Friday 3 November 2017. Deferral requests received after this date will not be considered.
The following are examples of exceptional circumstances which may be considered. Please be aware that you may be asked for evidence to support your claim:
- Health concerns for either yourself or your close relatives
- Childcare / Carers responsibilities
- Family occasion
- Work commitments / annual leave constraints
- Travel (for example working overseas)
Deferral requests are dealt with on a case by case basis and we cannot guarantee that your request will be accepted.
As an alternative, you can opt to graduate in absentia where you will not attend your ceremony and your certificate will be posted to you 6-8 weeks after the date of your graduation ceremony.
If you require further advice on your personal circumstances, please contact Graduation.
