Alleviate Career Fear - Drop in with a Careers Adviser
Often the thought of entering the workplace or the societal pressures of having you whole career planned out can have negative effects on your mental health. So why not come and talk to a careers adviser about your fears or thoughts on your future. You can have a complete plan or no idea on what you want to do, we are here to help alleviate your fears by lending our ears.

Wellbeing Cafe - run by the School of Politics and International Relations
Join the School of Politics and International Relations and members of the local Support and Wellbeing team for an afternoon of fun and games in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We will have card games, group games, puzzles, therapeutic colouring activities alongside tea and biscuits. A relaxed space for all in the Law and Social Sciences atrium, open to all students in the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Science UMHD Fair
We will be hosting a small wellbeing fair based on the 5 ways of wellbeing, providing activities and information for students to focus on their mental health and wellbeing.
Active- we will be creating some science themed puzzles (word searches etc) and having some information about David Ross available for students- mind and body active.
Connect- area of refreshments and some board games for students to do.
Give- “give a plant a home” with some plant potting activities.
Learning- we were thinking of having our usually crafting (paint rocks, colouring etc)
Notice- is where we will have all our MH information leaflets, stress balls etc

Self-care is an important way to take care of ourselves and to prioritise our own needs. For many of us this isn't something that we are used to doing, but it is never too late to learn to take a little time out to relax and de-stress. Come along to Cherry Tree Lodge to make up a mini self-care pack to start you off on your self-care journey.

University Mental Health Day at QMC
Come and join your local support and wellbeing team this University Mental Health Day. There will be fun activities to enjoy a pause away from your studies, freebies up for grabs and information and resources on how to take care of your mental health and wellbeing - plus your lovely local support & wellbeing team will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns, or just to pop by and say hello.

Mind Matters PGR Wellbeing session and refreshments
This is a PGR specific wellbeing session covering some common themes that a post graduate researcher may experience during their PhD research such as isolation, loss of motivation and Imposter Syndrome and looking at ways to develop a good work-life balance with a focus on wellbeing and self-care. The session is run by Alice Haslam and Sandra Rose who are PGR Welfare and EDI Officers. This will be followed by coffee and cake and wellbeing activities including Lego activities.

In celebration of University Mental Health Day, UoN Sport will be making all Just Play sessions FREE for Thursday 9th March 2023! Just Play is non-competitive, social and open to all abilities and experience - so come and try a new sport, re-discover an old hobby or develop your skills with one of our friendly session leaders!

We'll be hosting Library Refuel Drop-in session in every library, offering a space where you can relax, study alongside other students and ask library staff any questions you might have about our services. All whilst enjoying some free snacks and drinks to keep you going!
You can also pick up a goodie bag from any library site throughout the day. These will include pens, highlighters, tea bags, fresh fruit, build-a-bookmark kits useful information leaflets and more...
