Our postgraduate researchers are the upcoming pioneers of the real world. So, we celebrate you.

Our annual engineering research showcase gives you a platform to share your PhD research, network with peers and practice your presenting skills.

In every year of your PhD, you’ll get the opportunity to put yourself forward to represent your research group. If selected by your group, you’ll go head-to-head with your peers in a friendly, fun, and informal competition at the engineering research showcase.

  • First year postgraduates take part in Pitch Perfect PhD – can you pitch your research in just one minute?
  • Second year postgraduates present their research as a poster – are you prepared to answer questions from the judges?
  • Third year postgraduates compete in the Three Minute Thesis – can you condense three years of research into a three-minute presentation?

With an audience of supportive peers and PhD supervisors – plus a fascinating keynote by an invited industry speaker – the engineering research showcase is one of the highlight events of the year.
