Course description
The CMS training course is aimed at members of staff who have responsibility for creating and editing content on the University of Nottingham website. The day is split into two sections:
Part one
- good practice
- writing for the web and how it's different to print
Part two
- introduction to Contensis
- importing and creating content
- page layout and formatting
- workflow
Prerequisites
To get the best from the course, you should have some familiarity with how to search for and use web pages, and you should be able to use fairly standard computer software (like Microsoft Word) to create and edit documents on your computer.

CMS training courses can be booked online. But hurry - they book up fast! Please ensure that you have discussed this with your line manager and your unit web co-ordinator before doing so.
Permissions
Access to the CMS is only provided if the full course has been taken. You'll be provided with trainee login details during your training day.
