Underground culture in four parts: Exhibition, Sound Creation, Wayfinding and Dance

A dark, gloomy alleyway, a pulsating thump felt beneath the feet and an inexplicable force pulling oneself in a direction that seems to question all instincts. This story is set in the places you don’t see, the areas of Bristol that have always existed but never been found. A young man finds himself obsessed with the underground, musical culture of Bristol and is drawn into its depths. His daring to explore is rewarded by something greater than he set out to find.

In line with the poetic and artistic architectural approach of unit 4C, The project tackles the storytelling of the underground culture in four parts: Exhibition, Sound Creation, Wayfinding and Dance, relating each intervention in the Bristolian landscape to a chapter in the narrative.

Comprehension of nocturnal architecture and the nefarious nature of unregulated city spaces is revealed to the users of this set of buildings for their curiosity and daring to venture on.
