Bio: Dr Virginia Panizzo's research focuses on developing recommendations for policy guidelines to improve water quality and water resource management in the Red River Delta in Northern Vietnam. 

Virginia works very closely with the British Geological Survey of which she is a Visiting Research Associate, under the Centre for Environmental Geochemistry. She is also the Vice Chair of the International Paleolimnological Association.

By studying lake sediments, we can build a picture of environmental change over time to allow a precise measurement of human impact.
