ECONET

ECONET consists of a modular eco-system of multi-functional urban furniture blocks designed to provide a secure and reliable parking and charging space for e-bike and e-scooter users. Allowing them to safely park their vehicles and charge them on the go, reducing the possibility of theft and the need for personal locks, increasing user peace of mind. The station is designed to be intuitive, comfortable, and secure. ECONET adapts to any environment and fits into any city’s aesthetic, creating communal points for user interaction, relaxation and enjoyment. It is made up of three stations that can be installed in a range of ways due to their modular forms.

Both the e-bike and e-scooter stations are designed around an innovative trapezium form. The open e-bike station design allows users to comfortably park and charge a maximum of three bikes simultaneously, whilst the e-scooter bench can house a maximum of four. Both stations employ an automatic and sleek locking mechanism. Connected to a linear slider in the e-bike station to ensure inclusivity for all e-bike types, sizes, and geometries.

Whilst the e-bike station is powered by the grid, the e-scooter bench station is also powered by solar energy. The stations are self-sufficient and work independently. The third station consists of a decorative plant pot that brings colour and life to any space. This module helps to separate the stations and allows for a wider range of configurations. It is made up of a self-watering three-layered absorption system, making it self-sufficient. It is equipped with a built-in spout that allows 40mm of water reservoir, once the maximum capacity is reached, excess water is drained out through an easy drain cap to prevent the plant from flooding.

All user interface interactions can be carried out through an inclusive phone app. Users can simply scan the QR code to access the ECONET app where they are able to locate nearby stations, select an available hub, choose their required locking & charging time, pay and keep track of their e-bike/e-scooter status throughout the day.

ECONET’s features a universal and automated lock that activates when the lock Bluetooth signal is received from the App. A 1-by-1cm strong stainless-steel bar rotates, locking the e-bike or e-scooter safely into place. In addition, it is equipped with a sensitive vibration detector which will generate an alarming sound in the case of vandalism attempts.
