Our leadership

Registry and Academic Affairs enhances the experience of each University of Nottingham student through the delivery of student and academic services at every significant point on their journey with us. We place the student and academic experience at the heart of everything we do and want to enable the University to be an inspiring place to study and improve lives.

The Director and Deputy Director roles are proactive and collaborative leadership positions, designed to support the continual development and evolution of an outstanding student journey and academic services.

Profile: Chris Hulse, Director of Registry and Academic Affairs

​​​​​​​​​​​Chris joined the University in 2009 and was previously School Manager in two Schools (Medicine and Health Sciences).  Before joining the University Chris worked in the NHS supporting the Chief Executive and Board of Directors of an NHS Trust in the West Midlands in a governance role.  Earlier in his career Chris worked in a variety of roles in Students’ Unions in Winchester, Derby and Leicester.

Profile: Sue Morrison, Programme Director (Curriculum Nottingham) Planning, Performance & Strategic Change

Sue joined the University in 2022 and is an experienced leader of university services for students.  Prior to joining the University of Nottingham, she worked at the University of Derby and De Montfort University.  She holds an MA by independent study in Education and additional postgraduate credits in Management Science and Leadership Coaching.
