Our Energy Innovation and Collaboration team can deliver funded support to businesses in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire or Leicestershire.

Businesses may be able to access funded support through the Energy for Business. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund, this low-carbon innovation project offers:

  • Specialist consultancy from world-class academics
  • Events and workshops
  • Student placements and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
  • A capital grant for business growth
  • Access to outstanding facilities and expertise

Funded support is just the start - our dedicated team will sign-post you to other opportunities.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for funded support businesses must be Small or Medium-sized Enterprises (*SMEs) in the D2N2 (Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire) or LLEP (Leicester, Leicestershire) region. 

*The European definition of SME follows: "The category of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is made up of enterprises which employ fewer than 250 persons and which have an annual turnover not exceeding 50 million euro, and/or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding 43 million euro."
