DryFusion is an umbrella dryer intended to provide a clean and safe workplace.

I chose to study PDM because it combines creativity with engineering problem-solving. I’ve always been fascinated by how everyday objects are designed, prototyped, PDM taught me how to solve problems in real life with critical thinking and turn the 2D design into 3D product.

I'm particularly interested in the modelling stage of product development by using tools like SolidWorks and Keyshot, I enjoy the process of bringing abstract ideas into tangible 3D models. I also have a strong interest in user-centered design — understanding the user needs and how they interact with products.

I have strong interests in automatics design especially how they balance exterior design, driving eperience and safety performance, in the future I hope to join the automative industry and focus on designing innovative cars, also i hope to work in teams combining industrial design, engineering and user experience knowledge to create innovative cars that meets the future mobility needs.

DryFusion

Due to the climate change, the umbrella market size increases year by year, plus reports indicate that slipping has become a major safety oncern in workplace and most of them are caused by wet floor.

DryFusion is intended to provide a clean and safe workplace. This product has three umbrella dryers connected to the base, each of them can work independently, which improved the work efficiency significantly. The dryer can detecte the presence of umbrella and control the machine start working which is suitable for both straight and folded umbrella, also the LED lights on the edge of dryer can indicate the working status for users.

DryFusion used air ampified technology and combined with the double wall design, the airflow can be amplified up to 15 times. To dry the wet umbrella to 70% dryness, it only takes less than 10s, this ensures the efficient progress of the work. The key feature of this design is that it integrates plants and the machine together. The water condensed from the damp air in environment is used to irragate the plants, makes the design more interactive and sustainable.
