The programme focused on future technologies and UK research within the medical sector, including how this influences our National Health Services. With a strong focus on future technologies across the sector, a suite of medical based topics including Dietetics, Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy.
A Winter School that was designed as a partnership collaboration between the University of Nottingham School of Medicine and the Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences. Supported by our Clinical Skills Centre, this gave students first-hand experience within a UK hospital environment.
Students were able to utilise our VR technology, both on-site and within our purpose-built VR lab, to explore a variety of medical techniques and interventions. There was even a social experience delivered through the VR lab for students to enjoy, allowing them to benefit from the use of this technology.
The cultural package chosen to support the visit featured key attractions across Nottingham including a visit to Nottingham Castle, a Nottingham City Tour with a two night stay in London included as an additional extra, allowing students to visit to very different UK cities and make the most of their time with us.
