Follow these steps to complete all your required tasks before joining us.
Activate your IT account
Check your personal email inbox three weeks before you are due to start your course. You will recieve an email asking you to activate your IT account. You will need your student ID number, which you can find on your offer letter, called 'Nottingham ID number' or in your profile on the MyNottingham applicant portal, called 'Nottingham ID'.
If your course starts before Monday 21 September 2020, you may receive the email less than three weeks before your start date.
After you've activated your IT account, you will receive an email asking you to register online. You must use your new University username and password to complete registration. Struggling to register? Read this.
International student? You will need to book an appointment to complete registration by confirming your attendance on campus. If you are studying using a Tier 4 visa and your biometric residence permit (BRP) is being delivered to the University, our visa and immigration team will let you know when this is available. You can then book your appointment so that you can collect your BRP during this session.
Apply for your University card
Once you've activated your IT account you can also apply for your University card. You will need your University username and password, and a digital passport sized photo saved as a .jpg.
Sign our Community Pledge
We are committed to keeping you safe on campus. An important part of this is ensuring that you have the information you need to take responsibility for your safety and the safety of others by following our social distancing guidance.
You will need to complete steps 1 to 3 before you can sign the pledge.
Unable to travel?
We're looking forward to welcoming you here on campus for the beginning of your studies.
If you think you will be unable to join us on campus by the start date of your course (due to reasons such as travel restrictions, shielding or self-isolation requirements) you must complete our remote study request form.
