Please ensure you arrive in Nottingham in plenty of time to start your course. Late arrival is permitted for up to three weeks after any degree start date.

As a new student, you must also complete registration within three weeks of your course start date at the latest (or within one week for presessional English courses). Otherwise, you will not be able to join your course.

Arriving late – who to notify

If you will arrive in person after your course start date but before the registration deadline (see below), you should notify your school or department. They will be able to advise on any reading materials, lectures, timetables and coursework that you have missed.

It is your responsibility to ensure you catch up on any work that you miss. Late arrival cannot be considered as an extenuating circumstance if you experience academic difficulties during your course.

You should also contact your accommodation provider to let them know your expected arrival date.

You don't need to notify our visa and immigration team or the UK Home Office if you are arriving after your course start date, providing that you arrive before your registration deadline.

How to register

Online registration is the first part of the registration process. After you have completed online registration, you must have your attendance confirmed at the start of your course.
