You must arrive in Nottingham and complete registration to be able to start your course.
This is not something that you can do remotely. As a new student, you must also complete registration within three weeks of your course start date at the latest (or within one week for presessional English courses). Otherwise, you will not be able to join your course.

What are the arrival and registration deadlines?
Late arrival is permitted up to three weeks after your course start date.
You must register within three weeks of your course start date. If you are studying a professional English course, you must register within one week of your course start date.
If you cannot arrive and register at these times, you will not be able to join your course.
Who should I notify if I am late?
If you arrive before the registration deadlines stated above, you do not need to notify the university. This includes your school, department and the visa and immigration team (or the UK Home Office).
Late arrival cannot be considered as an extenuating circumstance. You will be responsible for catching up on any work missed.
You may want to consider contacting your accommodation provider to tell them your expected arrival date.
What should I do if I cannot make it to start my course by the stated deadlines?
