Students usually graduate at the ceremony following the successful completion of their studies. Award certificates are issued to students at the ceremony or sent to them afterwards if they advise the graduation team in advance that they will not attend. Students who do not proactively register as graduating in absentia will need to contact the Examinations Office in order to receive their award certificate.
Some students need their award certificate before their official graduation day, which can be months after their course ends. An inter-ceremony graduation procedure has been set up for students who need their award certificate more quickly. For further information see Inter-ceremony arrangements.
