Certificates

When you complete your studies at the university and have received your final marks, you will graduate and receive your degree certificate. The university awards degree certificates twice a year, at our graduation ceremonies which are held in July and December. You will receive your certificate as soon as you are eligible, either at a graduation ceremony if you attend in person, or by post afterwards. 

What will I receive?

  • An electronic degree certificate and transcript of your marks, sent by email
  • A hard copy degree certificate

How do I receive my documents?

We will send your electronic documents to your personal email address and post your hard copy documents to your home address using Royal Mail tracked, unless you tell us you’d like to do something different. Please note, this service is not available for PO Box addresses, but alternative options are available (see below).

Your details

To ensure we have your correct information, please log in to NottinghamHub with your university username and password, and check the following details are correct:

  • Your name - this will be printed on your certificate. If it's incorrect, you need to request a name change
  • Home address - this is the address we will post your certificate to if you don't attend your ceremony
  • Home email address - this is where we will send the email instructions and login details for you to download your electronic certificate

You have until 4.30pm on Friday 21 November to make changes to your name or address.

How to receive your documents

Ways to receive your certificate What you need to do
In person at your graduation ceremony  If you attend your ceremony, you will collect your certificate once you have crossed the stage.
Digital copy emailed to your personal email address 

Following your graduation ceremony, you will receive an email titled "Welcome to PremierCert+". This email will explain how to access the online graduate document portal. Use the login details provided in the email to view and download your certificate. 

Please note, you can only access the portal on a desktop or laptop using Google Chrome. You also need to enable pop-ups.

Hard copy certificate posted out by Royal Mail

We’ll post your documents to the home address shown on NottinghamHub and email you the tracking details once they leave our mailroom. This will happen automatically if you don't attend your ceremony. 

To UK addresses, this service takes two days. To international addresses, this service takes seven days.

Collect your certificate (or nominate a friend to collect it for you)

Certificate collection will be available from the Student Service Centre in the Portland Building from Tuesday 16 December - Thursday 18 December. You'll need to let us know which day you're visiting so we can get your document ready for you. 

Book your certificate collection

Book a UPS courier service 

We can courier your certificate to you anywhere in the world. 

The charge for this service is £40, but delivery to PO Box address is guaranteed. This may provide you peace of mind if your address is difficult to locate and you need your documents urgently.
