We've got plenty of advice and guidance on what it takes to be a good neighbour and how to get involved with your community.

Safety in the city

Nottingham has been recognised for its safety and has a Purple Flag City Centre. We run educational campaigns for students each year to reinforce key messages about taking simple steps to keep safe. Take a look at our Safety in the city page to find out some simple precautions you can take to avoid becoming a victim of crime.

Try not to be pressured into deciding who you would like to live with too early on in the academic year. Once you've made this important decision, take a look at our simple steps to make sure that you secure good quality accommodation for you and your housemates. Moving off campus

Halls to Home Campaign - Hello Neighbour Box

Living off campus can be very different to living in halls where your neighbours are just across the corridor and maybe even share a timetable with you. Our moving off campus page gives you tips about how to make friends in the community, look out for your peers and stay safe. You can also find out about registering to vote, investing in contents insurance, and getting further advice and support.



Community Campaigns

The University of Nottingham Off Campus Affairs team runs a range of educational campaigns and projects each academic year, aimed at imparting key messages to students who have chosen to live in the community whilst completing their studies.
