A number of our students will choose to live off campus during their time at the University of Nottingham. Have a look at our page to find out how to make the most of living in the community. Nottingham has been recognised for its safety and has a Purple Flag City Centre. We run educational campaigns for students each year to reinforce key messages about taking simple steps to keep safe. Take a look at our page for some simple tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime.
The Community Engagement Ambassador (CEA) scheme is an exciting new pilot project aiming to support community cohesion initiatives in three specific zones across Lenton and Radford where there is a large population of privately rented student properties.
The Community Engagement team runs a range of educational campaigns and projects each academic year, aimed at imparting key messages to students who have chosen to live in the community whilst completing their studies.
The University of Nottingham wants to support projects that enhance the relationship between students and permanent residents. Community Chest offers grants of up to £500 for projects linking students, local residents, community organisations and local agencies into initiatives that aim to improve community relations.
