Are there any professional minimum standards for student accommodation?
Yes, this hall operates in accordance with UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice
This ensures that our halls meet a set of standards approved by the UK Parliament that governs the management of university-owned or managed student housing in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Its primary purpose is to ensure students have a safe, high-quality residential experience.
To maintain accountability, the university conducts an annual compliance check against these codes before students take up residence each year. This process guarantees that accommodation continues to meet the required benchmarks and provides students with confidence in the quality and safety of their living environment.
