Ideal for those seeking greater independence. You have your own room, typically in a shared flat with a kitchen/diner for making your meals or a self-contained studio.
Accommodation
There are seven self-catered sites to choose from depending on whether you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate, all with different room types available depending on which location you choose – Albion House, Broadgate Park, Cloister House, Melton Hall, Raleigh Park, St. Peter’s Court and Bonington Hall (for Sutton Bonington students only). Every room is fully furnished and has a data point with either direct access to the university’s network or broadband internet.
All of the self-catered sites, except Melton Hall, are owned and managed by external developers, who all adhere to the Code of Standard for larger developments. Melton Hall is owned and managed by the University.

For GEM/GEN & BMidwifery students studying in the city of Derby ONLY we are able to offer accommodation at Laverstoke Court.
Stay
Undergraduate contract lengths start from 43 weeks, dependant on your location, which includes vacation periods so you don’t need to move out of your room if you don’t want to over Christmas and Easter. All Postgraduate licences are 51 weeks long. Please note that once you have taken up occupancy of the accommodation you are liable to pay for the duration of the period.
Food
If you’re a new undergraduate staying at Bonington Hall you’ll have five evening meals served in the campus restaurant, Monday to Friday during term time, included as part of the part-catered package provided.
New postgraduates at Bonington Hall can opt in to the part-catered package – just state this in your accommodation application in the space provided to disclose your individual requirements – please note that your accommodation fees will increase if you choose to opt in to the part-catered package.
For extra convenience and great value for money for other self-catered sites you can opt into a meal deal. This enables you to redeem lunch in any of the Nottingham Hospitality catering outlets on University Park and Jubilee Campus, Monday to Friday during term time.
