Health and Fitness
Getting fit or becoming more healthy can seem like quite a struggle and not the fun activity it's supposed to be!

But being more active has enormous benefits including reducing stress, looking better, feeling more mentally alert, sleeping better and generally feeling happier.

The Department of Physical Recreation and Sport offer a range of facilities and classes that you can enjoy in a pleasant atmosphere and hopefully increase your level of fitness and general wellbeing.
 

Fitness Classes

Your membership entitles you to free circuit training and aerobics classes at our University Park and Jubilee Sports facilities.

There are variety of other classes, for members, designed to help maintain your fitness and well being. These classes include Zumba, Boxercise, Body Pump, Core 'n' Flex, Yoga and Pilates.

Swimming Lessons

The University offers swimming lessons to members of sports faciltiies and members of the local community, throughout the year.

The 25 metre pool has a moveable floor which goes from 0.9 metres to 1.8 metres in depth, making it ideal for all levels of swimming ability.

We run lessons for adults and children in a number of different formats, to suit your preferences and budget.
