We're very proud to be the Times and Sunday Times Sports University of the Year 2024, the Daily Mail University of the Year 2024 and the top university in the UK for team sport in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) rankings. These accolades reflect our commitment to sporting excellence and the importance of sport and activity in the University of Nottingham student experience. 

As one of the founding institutions of the inter-varsity competition in 1919, now known as BUCS, we have a proud history of sporting success and count several Olympic, Paralympic, World and Commonwealth champions amongst our current student and alumni community.
