Payment information
The deadline for term one payment and damage deposits will be detailed in your accommodation offer and is due before your contract starts. If you will require a payment plan, are dependant upon Student Loan Funding, or have not secured your visa, you will be able to discuss arrangements direct with your accommodation provider.
What happens if I get locked out?
Forgot your key? It happens! Visit the on-site LUNA reception team during office hours and they’ll get you back into your room. If you’re locked out outside of these hours, just call the emergency number listed in your welcome pack. Please note that there may be a charge for out-of-hours assistance.
Is contents insurance included?
Yes – contents insurance is already included in your rent, so there’s no need to arrange this separately.
How do I connect to the WiFi?
WiFi is provided through ASK4 and is included in your rent. You’ll just need to set up an account with ASK4 when you arrive. Full instructions are available in your welcome pack and at reception.
How do I report a maintenance issue?
Maintenance requests are submitted via the LUNA app, which you’ll be guided through in your welcome pack. Need help? The reception team is happy to assist.
How do I receive post and parcels?
Letters will be delivered to your mailbox in reception. For parcels, the reception team can accept them on your behalf during office hours (9am–5pm, Monday to Friday). You’ll receive a notification when it’s ready to collect. Outside of these hours, you’ll need to meet the courier at the entrance.
Can I personalise my room?
Yes – you’re welcome to make your room feel like home! You can put up photos and decorations, but please avoid anything that might damage walls or furniture. If in doubt, check with the LUNA reception team.
Is cleaning included?
Residents are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and kitchens. Communal building areas are professionally cleaned. If you'd like additional cleaning services, speak to the LUNA team for recommendations.
Can I bring a bicycle?
Yes – there’s secure bike storage available on-site. Just note that bicycles aren’t covered under the building’s insurance, so personal cover is recommended.
Is there a gym at Bridgeside?
While there isn’t a gym on-site, all LUNA residents at Bridgeside have access to the University of Nottingham Jubilee Sports Centre and gym, just a short walk away.
Can I bring a TV?
TVs are provided in studios and shared kitchen areas. If your room doesn’t include one and you’d like to bring your own, you’re welcome to – just remember that watching live TV or BBC iPlayer requires a TV licence.
Are pets allowed?
To ensure the wellbeing of all residents, pets aren’t allowed in LUNA accommodation.
Is smoking allowed?
No – Bridgeside is a fully smoke-free environment, including indoor and outdoor spaces. This also includes vaping.
Are there regular events?
Yes – the LUNA team hosts events throughout the year to help residents settle in, connect, and socialise. These include welcome events during your first two weeks.
Can I have visitors?
Yes – you’re welcome to have guests stay occasionally. We just ask that guests are considerate of fellow residents and follow the property’s guidelines. For overnight stays, please check with the reception team.
Can I stay in my room during the holidays?
Yes – your tenancy includes holiday periods, so there’s no need to vacate during university breaks.
Do I need to move my belongings out during holidays?
No – your room remains yours for the full tenancy. You can leave your belongings securely in your room while you’re away.
Is early luggage storage available?
Unfortunately, there isn’t a luggage storage facility on-site. However, the reception team may be able to recommend nearby services.
Is car parking available?
There is no parking at Bridgeside, but public parking options are available nearby. Ask the LUNA reception team for the best local recommendations.
Is help available outside of office hours?
Yes – reception is open during the day, and an out-of-hours support line is available for emergencies. You’ll find all the contact details in your welcome pack.
Is there a curfew?
There’s no curfew – students are free to come and go. However, we do ask that all residents are mindful of noise levels, particularly late at night.
What makes LUNA different?

What’s the difference between a studio and an en-suite in a shared flat?
A studio gives you your own private space – including your own kitchen and dining area. In a shared flat, you’ll have your own en-suite bedroom, but share the kitchen and living area with 5–6 other students.
What’s included in my rent?
Your rent covers all bills – electricity, water and high-speed WiFi. The only extras might be a TV licence (if you watch live TV) or laundry costs.
When can I move in?
Tenancies at Bridgeside start from 13 September. If you need to arrive earlier, contact reception to see what’s possible.
Can I move in at any time of day?
Yes – but if you’re arriving outside office hours, let us know in advance so we can make arrangements.
Do I need to bring any documents to check in?
Yes – you’ll need valid photo ID and proof of your student status. Check your welcome pack for the full list.
Is there a move-in checklist?
Yes – we’ll send you a welcome guide before move-in with everything you need to know.
What should I bring with me?
Studios come with fitted kitchen appliances. You’ll need to bring your own bedding, towels, and kitchenware. A full checklist will be sent out before arrival.
Do you provide bedding?
No – please bring your own bedding or purchase it on arrival. If you’d like help finding local stores, just ask reception.
Do you provide kitchenware?
We provide kitchen appliances, but you’ll need to bring your own utensils, pans, plates, etc.
