This studio project focused on the Attenborough Nature Reserve, part of a broader vision to regenerate key sites near Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester. The proposal aimed to enhance the reserve by upgrading existing facilities and introducing new functions, including a research centre for the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Wildlife Trust, expanded office and café spaces, a multipurpose showcase area, improved parking and access, and new landscape and temporary use strategies. The design integrated environmental principles from the outset to create energy-efficient, adaptable, and collaborative spaces that respect the natural habitat. Innovative ideas such as floating structures were encouraged to minimise ecological impact. Performance simulation tools like IESVE, PHPP, Optivent, and Sefaira were promoted for optimal outcomes. 

Rooted in the ethos of sustainable design, the studio emphasised in creating a building that is contextually appropriate, resource-efficient, and delightful to use. Offering social, economic, and environmental value while becoming a beacon of sustainability and community inspiration.
