Foundation Engineering and Physical Science facilities

Learning in a modern environment, ready for extrodinary challenges

Foundation Engineering and Physical Science (FEPS) is taught on our Jubilee Campus. Your learning will take place in the Advanced Manufacturing Building. As well as being a base for students on FEPS, it is also home to cutting edge research. Throughout your studies you’ll be part of university life and have access to all the facilities and student experiences across Engineering and Science.

Advanced Manufacturing Building

Our Advanced Manufacturing Building contains all the facilities you’ll need to excel at your studies, including labs, office spaces, teaching spaces, and specialist facilities. Here our top industrial partners and cutting-edge research teams work on projects such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and collaborative robotics.

By studying FEPS, you are taught within purpose-built lecture rooms, which overlook the workspace in which new technologies are constantly being developed. In addition, we teach in a bespoke, multi-purpose space which can function as a venue for small group project and seminar work and a fully-equipped laboratory. Throughout the course, we maintain regular contact and involvement from academics within our destination departments (Engineering, Physics, Maths and Computer Science), and our students get opportunities to visit facilities in these areas, and sometimes work within these areas as part of their individual projects.
