Performance Women's Football and Futsal

Why Nottingham?

At the University of Nottingham we've invested in significantly in our Women's Football and Futsal programme to provide a leading high-performance environment for student-athletes.

Students train and play at the £40m David Ross Sports Village with a newly installed 3G pitch,  state-of-the-art High Performance Zone and on-site recovery services such as sports massage and hydrotherapy.

In 2023, the first team team finished in 2nd place in the BUCS Premier League (the highest division in the country). In addition, the Futsal programme continues to thrive with the first team reaching the semi-final of the 2022 BUCS Championship and players having the opportunity to play and compete up-and-down the country.

A number of players balance their dual-career ambitions with playing externally in the top 3/4 tiers of the Women's game in England.
