Welcome to Greenfield Medical Library - supporting the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and providing library services for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust staff.

 

Visiting the library

To visit our libraries - book a study space (recommended) or drop in for a short stay visit (up to 30 minutes). Study space is unavailable for short stay visits.

The capacity of our libraries has been reduced to support social distancing and you may be asked to wait if the library is full.

Libraries safety measures

  • You must wear a face coverings at all times (unless exempt)
  • The University has introduced the Advise, Warn, Leave process for face coverings
  • Keep your distance from others, including those in your household
  • Use hand sanitiser before and after touching surfaces and books
  • Wipe down study spaces and equipment before and after use
  • Please do not visit the library if you have symptoms of coronavirus
 
 

Opening times

Winter break closure

Our library buildings and helplines will be closed for the winter break from 21 December – 3 January inclusive.

Library staff here to make sure you have access to the resources you need. Contact us by email, phone or Live Chat and we'll help you get ready for the break.

Closing procedures

Last short stay entry to the library is 30 minutes before the advertised library closing time. Study space bookings will finish 15 minutes before the library closing time. Please leave the library promptly following one-way signage.

Greenfield Medical Library is home to subject resources for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences as well as titles from our leisure reading collection.

Access

Access to the library is via the Main Entrance or Car Park entrance.

If accessing the library via the Car Park entrance, access is by University Card only after 6.30pm on weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Greenfield Medical Library has:

  • door access via ramp to front door of Medical School
  • accessible unisex WC
  • low level service point
  • Hearing Loop situated at reception desk
