Sports Massage

 Massage COVID

We deliver a full range of Sports Massage sessions which involve the manipulation of soft tissue to alleviate pain and provide treatment for a range of musculoskeletal problems including sports injuries, muscle tension, inflammation and stiffness.

The technique, delivered by one of our fully qualified remedial massage therapists, carries a number of physiological and psychological benefits.

It is a fantastic method to relieve muscle tension, reduce soreness and make for a faster recovery.

We offer a range of sports massages and on your first appointment our highly trained staff will discuss and tailor a 30 minute or a full hour session to relieve stress and get you ready for your next challenge.

So if you’re feeling sore and in need of a stress relieving and rejuvenating sports massage,  make sure your book your sessions with the Sports Injury Clinic at David Ross Sports Village.

Sports Massage Benefits

Sports massage stimulates the cardiovascular system by dilating blood vessels and increasing the circulation of blood around the body.  In turn this delivers fresh oxygen and nutrients to the tissue and promotes the removal of waste products and toxins.

Thanks to the relaxed state you’re in during and after the massage, your heart rate lowers, you feel more relaxed and your body will take its first steps to recovery.

Psychological benefits include reducing stress, tension and anxiety while promoting relaxation by activating your parasympathetic nervous system.  Not only will you get an increase in dopamine and serotonin levels but you will also benefit from a reduction in cortisol levels, which are directly linked to stress.
