The Nottingham Varsity Series

Every year, the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University go head-to-head in the Nottingham Varsity Series, a thrilling celebration of student sport. From the roar of the crowds to the clash of competition, Varsity brings together the best student athletes from both universities to battle it out at Nottingham’s biggest sporting venues.

Since the first Varsity football match in 2001, the series has grown into a highlight of the university sporting calendar, attracting thousands of passionate spectators. The University of Nottingham has dominated in recent years—winning the last few titles.
