Each school and department has a specific ceremony date and time, so make sure you check when yours is and make a note of the date.

If you have any outstanding debt owing to the university, you will not be able to graduate and will automatically be deferred. Please review the finance tab in NottinghamHub if you are unsure. The date by which you must have cleared your debts was Monday 24 November. Please contact us if you need to discuss this.

3. Register how you'd like to graduate
Registration for our winter ceremonies has now closed. If you haven't registered a choice of how you would like to graduate, as long as you are eligible, you will automatically graduate in absentia and receive your certificate by post or collect it in person following the winter ceremonies. 4. Book your guest tickets
Registration has now closed. Graduating students who registered to attend a ceremony by 12 noon on 14 November were able to purchase up to two guest tickets during the registration process, at a cost of £15 each, via our ticket partner Ede and Ravenscroft.

5. Hire your gown and hood
Your graduation would not be complete without the traditional gown and hood. Visit our gown webpage for all the details you need to hire your gown and hood.

6. Request a Student Status Letter
If you or your guests require a visa in order to attend graduation, you will need to request a Confirmation of Student Status Letter.
We recommend printing out the email you received inviting you to graduation as proof of your ceremony invitation.

7. Look out for extra guest tickets
Advance ticket sales are now closed. Depending on availability, there may be the option to purchase extra tickets in person on the day of your ceremony. Further details can be found on our guest tickets webpage.

9. Plan your photography and merchandise
Visit our photography and merchandise webpage to discover what will be available at your graduation. We know that capturing special moments of your day will be a priority!

Graduation parking costs £10 per vehicle and will be valid for the day of your ceremony. Information about how to book your parking is available on our transport and parking webpage.
If you or your guests are blue badge holders, you do not need to pay for parking as long as you display your badge.
