The University of Nottingham ACCESS Centre (UNAC) was established in 2001 and is based within the Portland Building Student Services Centre at the University of Nottingham. UNAC is a recognised assessment centre registered with and accredited through DSA-QAG (Disabled Students' Allowances Quality Assurance Group). UNAC is also a member of NNAC (National Network of Assessment Centres). We have a team of specialist assessors and offer DSA Assessment of Needs to disabled students, including those with Specific Learning Difficulties (such as dyslexia or dyspraxia), physical or sensory impairments, mental health issues or long-term medical conditions. Assessors work in collaboration with students, University/College support services, funding bodies and equipment and support providers in order to establish a range of appropriate and detailed support recommendations which form the basis of the Assessment of Needs Report. Assessments are provided to those studying in and around Nottingham and the East Midlands, as well as to students from the region who are studying elsewhere within the UK. You do not have to be a University of Nottingham student to access this service.
The ACCESS Centre's opening hours are Monday-Friday 9.30am-5.00pm.
