Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre

UoN Sport partnered with CBTRC in 2016 and our sports teams, across over 70 clubs, all proudly bear the CBTRC logo on their match and competition sports kit.

Our sports clubs and programmes have also pledged to undertake a huge range of fundraising activities to support CBTRC and have raised over £15,000 to support their pioneering research, diagnostic treatments and awareness raising campaigns.

CBTRC partnership launch

Research holds the key to improving the diagnosis, treatment and outcomes of childhood cancer. Although the time frames for research reaching the patient can often seem very long, it is the only way to improve our understanding of the disease processes and, therefore, improving the outcomes. Without money, research doesn't happen as there is no funding to invest in people to deliver the research. So, on behalf of CBTRC, I thank you for the immense efforts you make in raising funds.
