Inclusive Sport


Sport is for Everyone

We work alongside the Student Union and Disability Support team to ensure that there are accessible sporting and fitness opportunities for all students at the University.

We also have our own dedicated Disability Sport Officer (DSO), who can support you.

Whether you want support in the gym, to join a sports club or access specialist strength and conditioning services, we can support you in your ambitions.




Sports Memberships for Disabled Students

Students who have a disability or long long-term medical condition may be entitled to a 50% reduction in membership fees.

If you have a disability or long long-term medical condition you should contact the  Disability Support Team for a referral to the Disability Sport Officer.

Personal assistants and carers of students with a disability will be admitted free to the different sports facilties and swimming pool, but they will need to request a Sports Buddy card from the  Disability Sport Officer when accompanying someone who has a disability or mental health condition.
