Description
Along with his men's lacrosse team mates TJ Summers is just one victory away from being a #GreenandGold National Champion with his team having earned a place at BUCS Big Wednesday. Despite having only arrived in the UK last September as a sports scholar, TJ is now hugely invested in the University of Nottingham having studied at the Faculty of Business, as well as become an integral part of the men's lacrosse first team.

Maiden team gold at BUCS Judo for University of Nottingham

Description
BUCS Judo returned to Wolverhampton in February for the yearly national university championships, and University of Nottingham Judo club made sure that the 2023 event will be remembered for a very long time. Consisting of the individual events on the Saturday 18th February and the team's event on Sunday 19th February, the #GreenandGold ended the weekend by making history in the men's team competition.

Scholar In Focus: Riley Kokoruda

Riley Kokoruda made the leap over the Atlantic last summer to continue her lacrosse career alongside gaining a masters degree at the University of Nottingham. Having been a captain at Boston University, Riley has brought a wealth of experience to our ladies lacrosse programme, helping guide the #GreenandGold into the semi-finals of the National Championship.

The Canadian Football League (American Football) descended on Nottingham last weekend with a regional combine held at David Ross Sports Village. The combine provided athletes with the chance to impress visiting scouts in the hope of following in the footsteps of Nottingham alumni and current Jacksonville Jaguar Ayo Oyelola.

Nottingham canoeists slalom to BUCS success

Description
After a hugely successful BUCS Wild Water Racing championships, the University of Nottingham entered multiple entrants at the Canoe Slalom championships on the 25 and 26 February. Held nearby at the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont - a training base for many Nottingham athletes - the #GreenandGold would be aiming to reach the same high standards across K1, C1 and team competitions.

Ben Lucas is one of the current captains for the University of Nottingham men's volleyball first team and has been an integral figure in their progression over his time here. Rachael Lever becomes BUCS National Champion

Description
University of Nottingham Sport scholar Rachael Lever recently became the first woman from the University of Nottingham Fencing Club to be crowned individual champion in BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) competition. Rachael travelled to Sheffield for the biggest individual fencing event of the BUCS calendar with fellow representatives from University of Nottingham Fencing Club.

After an incredible showing at the BUCS Short Course Swimming Championships in term one, sport scholar Owen Say is aiming for more success at this weekends BUCS Nationals. Alongside his heroics in the pool, Owen has entered his final year of studying a BA in Archaeology and Geography as part of the Faculty of Arts. We spoke to Owen ahead of BUCS Nationals to find out more about his preparations and story so far.
