If you have a Support Plan, we recognise that you may need an extension to coursework deadlines and this is detailed in your plan. Coursework extensions will be subject to review and approval by your School.

From September 2022 new microsoft forms will be launched across a number of schools and faculties with the aim of streamlining this process. The new approach will be implemented gradually throughout the academic year, and you will be notified if you are likely to be impacted by this change.

What you need to know

The coursework extension request forms that are microsoft forms can only be used for one extension request per piece of work and does not need to include any supporting documentation. 

If you have already been granted an extension on the basis of a Support Plan but your circumstances have changed, such that you would like to request a further extension to the already extended deadline, please follow the Extenuating Circumstances procedure.

If your faculty/school is still using a microsoft word form, please submit the completed form as an attachment to an Enquiry via the Student Enquiry Portal.

Your local assessment team will receive your claim and be in touch with a decision shortly.
